Bank of Palestine Continues to Economically Empower Women in Cooperation with Tubas Charity Association

SadaNews - The Bank of Palestine has provided its support for the vocational training project for women in Tubas Governorate, implemented by the Tubas Charity Association, aimed at enhancing women's opportunities to enter the labor market and launch small income-generating projects by professionally qualifying them through specialized training workshops in various fields.

The project continues for four months, targeting 30 women from the governorate within the age group of (18–45 years). The project contributes to empowering participants to work in a safe environment by launching home-based projects that allow them to achieve quick and sustainable income, in addition to enhancing a support and cooperation network among the participating women.

In this context, the Bank of Palestine emphasized the importance of empowering women in all Palestinian governorates to possess the skills and tools necessary to develop independent projects, enhancing their economic participation, which contributes to their integration into the labor market and improving their standard of living and that of their families, in light of current economic challenges.

The bank clarified that this support aligns with its commitment to social responsibility and comes as part of its strategy aimed at empowering Palestinian women and reaching women in various governorates of the homeland, stemming from its belief in the Palestinian woman's ability to innovate and actively participate in enhancing the local economy.

The director of the association, Ms. Maha Daraghmeh, expressed her deep appreciation for the support of the Bank of Palestine, noting that this cooperation reflects the bank’s commitment to support Palestinian women and enhances their presence in the labor market. She confirmed that the Tubas Charity Association places great importance on vocational training and qualification programs, especially for women who are suffering from difficult social conditions or facing unemployment challenges, as the association seeks to empower them by providing a safe training environment and practical opportunities that help them acquire new skills and embark on small projects that achieve them economic stability. She added that this project embodies the association's message in serving the local community and reflects its commitment to building effective partnerships with national institutions, foremost among them the Bank of Palestine, which continues to support developmental and humanitarian initiatives.

The Bank of Palestine continues to support projects led by and participated in by women, through a comprehensive package of programs and banking products specifically designed to support women entrepreneurs and owners of small, medium, and micro enterprises, ensuring the sustainability of their businesses. This also includes the "Palestinian" program, which aims to develop women's capabilities in managing and expanding projects, along with workshops on banking and financial awareness, and technical and financial consultations provided by the bank to support businesswomen.
