Sheikh Discusses Palestinian Economic Files with Saudi Foreign Minister
SadaNews Economy - Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh met this evening, Wednesday, with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting held in Riyadh, they discussed the developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by the Palestinian people amid the ongoing Israeli escalation and violations. They emphasized the importance of a ceasefire and ensuring the unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid.
They also stressed the necessity of releasing Palestinian Authority funds, protecting the Palestinian banking system, adhering to the implementation of the comprehensive peace plan, and supporting the reform efforts launched by President Mahmoud Abbas.
International and American efforts made in this context were appreciated, as well as the importance of linking the Gaza Strip with the West Bank, and continuing coordination with brothers and international partners to ensure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Attending the meeting on the Palestinian side were Advisor Dr. Majdi Khalidi and Head of the Vice President's Office Aya Al-Mohsen, while the Saudi side was represented by Advisor Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Manal Radwan.
