Bank of Palestine Brings Smiles to Children in SOS Villages in Bethlehem on the Occasion of World Children's Day
SadaNews - The Bank of Palestine organized a special event for psychological relief and support for children in SOS villages, in the city of Bethlehem, to celebrate World Children’s Day. The event took place on the "Anad" theater in Beit Jala, with the participation of around 140 children from various age groups.
This event comes as part of the continuous efforts made by the bank to support children and contribute to enhancing their well-being within the social responsibility programs that are a top priority for it, especially initiatives aimed at providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to grow, learn, and discover their talents.
The bank affirmed that it places great importance on supporting institutions and charitable organizations, especially those that care for children, in order to meet their needs and ensure they can fulfill their responsibilities towards this vulnerable group that requires our attention and care. It added that this activity embodies our firm commitment to supporting children, as they are the foundation of the future, indicating that this initiative is part of its vision to serve our community, enhance its humanitarian and developmental role alongside its banking role.
For her part, the management of SOS Children’s Villages, represented by its national director Ms. Ghada Harzallah, expressed her deep appreciation to the Bank of Palestine for this kind initiative, valuing its ongoing efforts to support and care for children, and its contributions to bringing joy to their hearts on their special day.
The event included a range of psychological support and relief activities alongside recreational activities, artistic and educational segments, a moral educational play, games and competitions, as well as painting and coloring on art pieces, and a short film about bullying, all aimed at bringing joy to children's hearts, promoting children's rights, and instilling values of cooperation and love among them, in addition to planting hope in the hearts of children, especially in light of the current difficult circumstances.
It is noteworthy that World Children’s Day falls on November 20th each year, representing an occasion to renew the commitment to children's rights to care, protection, and education, and to enhance community efforts to ensure their recovery and achieve a better future for them.
