SadaNews - Palestine Bank signed a memorandum of understanding today, Thursday, November 27, 2025, with Augusta Victoria Hospital (Al-Mutalaa) to enhance the strategic partnership between the two sides, which includes supporting the mobile clinic programs aimed at providing free medical tests and raising health awareness about diabetes. The signing ceremony took place at the bank's headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of Mr. Mahmoud Al-Shawa, the General Director of Palestine Bank, and Dr. Fadi Al-Atrash, the Executive Director of the hospital, along with several representatives from both institutions.
In accordance with the memorandum, Palestine Bank will provide its support for the continuation of the mobile clinic program until the end of 2025, reaching various Palestinian governorates, with special attention given to marginalized areas and rural communities. Specialized medical teams will conduct free blood sugar tests, in addition to eye and foot examinations for diabetes patients, and distribute educational materials to guide citizens on preventive methods and the importance of early detection.
In his speech, Mahmoud Al-Shawa emphasized that this agreement embodies Palestine Bank's profound commitment to its social responsibility and its keenness to support initiatives aimed at enhancing the Palestinian health sector. He added that the bank continues to invest in programs that aim to raise awareness about chronic diseases, foremost among them diabetes, by promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering citizens with preventive knowledge. He clarified that the initiative will contribute to reaching thousands of citizens and facilitating their access to regular check-ups and sustainable preventive services.
For his part, Dr. Fadi Al-Atrash, Executive Director of Al-Mutalaa Hospital, stressed that the mobile clinic is an extension of the hospital's continuous educational programs, in addition to conducting free tests and enhancing health awareness about chronic diseases, including diabetes, especially with the increasing rates of this chronic disease in Palestine. He pointed out that the continued operation of the mobile clinic in several governorates of the homeland reaffirms the hospital's commitment to providing health services under all circumstances, highlighting the hospital's recent success in the "Your Test is Your Life for Early Detection of Breast Cancer" campaign.
Palestine Bank continues, over the past years, to support the mobile clinic for Al-Mutalaa Hospital, believing in the importance of building an aware community capable of preventing diseases and reducing their social and economic impacts, which positively reflects on the health of citizens and the stability of the Palestinian family.
