Minister of Communications Discusses Current Challenges in the Telecommunications Sector with Vice Chairman of the Board of the Palestinian Communications Company "Jawwal" Bashar Masri and CEO Abdul Majid Malhem

SadaNews - Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr. Abdul Razaq Natsheh met with the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Palestinian Communications Company "Jawwal" Mr. Bashar Masri, and the company's CEO Mr. Abdul Majid Malhem, at Masri's office in Rawabi. During the meeting, attendees discussed the latest developments in the telecommunications sector in Palestine and the challenges it faces amid the current circumstances, especially the assaults on telecommunications infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. Natsheh was briefed on the company's plans and efforts to keep Gaza connected amid the ongoing aggression and ways to enhance cooperation to overcome these obstacles.

The minister emphasized during the meeting that the ministry continues its diligent efforts and intensifies its political and diplomatic pressures at various levels to expedite the launch of 4G services in Palestine, due to its essential role in developing the digital infrastructure and enabling citizens to benefit from advanced technological services.

For his part, Masri expressed his appreciation for the ministry's efforts in supporting the telecommunications sector amid the current exceptional circumstances, pointing to the complementary role of the public sector and private sector companies to enhance the sector's ability to keep pace with global telecommunications developments as a fundamental pillar for economic growth.

These meetings are part of a series of meetings held by the ministry with various telecommunications companies operating in Palestine, aimed at strengthening partnership and addressing current challenges.
