SadaNews - The Monetary Authority and the Land Authority have launched a new service that allows citizens to pay Land Authority transaction fees electronically through the national bill display and payment platform E-SADAD, facilitating the completion of transactions remotely without the need to use cash or visit Land Authority offices.

An agreement was signed for the joining of the Land Authority to the E-SADAD platform between the Governor of the Monetary Authority, Yahya Shanar, and the President of the Land Authority, Advisor Alaa Al-Tamimi, in the presence of the Deputy Governor of the Monetary Authority, Muhammad Manasra, and the General Director of the Palestinian Payment Services Company, Nader Al-Salhi, along with several department managers from both sides.

The new service offers citizens, in its first phase, the ability to pay Land Authority transaction fees through the E-SADAD platform, which is available in all banking apps and electronic wallets. In the second phase, citizens will be enabled to pay for properties electronically through the platform, without the need to use cash, and without any fees, which contributes to enhancing the speed and ease of completing transactions.

Governor Yahya Shanar confirmed that the joining of the Land Authority to the E-SADAD platform represents an important step in the digital transformation journey, noting that the Land Authority is one of the vital sectors that will make a difference in electronic payments.

Shanar praised the role of the Land Authority in adopting electronic solutions in its operations, emphasizing that electronic payment is a safe and effective means to alleviate economic burdens and reduce reliance on cash, especially amidst the current crisis related to the accumulation of shekels in banks.

For his part, President of the Land Authority, Advisor Alaa Al-Tamimi, confirmed that the linkage with the E-SADAD platform enhances the quality of services provided and comes as a culmination of ongoing efforts to automate the authority's operations, pointing out that this step represents an advanced phase aimed at enhancing the speed and effectiveness of dealings with citizens, adding that land constitutes the core of the conflict in Palestine, and that the Land Authority has been a pioneering entity in the electronic transformation, aiming to alleviate the burden on our people.

Al-Tamimi praised the role of the Monetary Authority in developing the infrastructure for digital transformation and electronic payment systems that allow various sectors, especially governmental ones, to benefit from these systems.

It is worth mentioning that the E-SADAD platform, overseen by the Monetary Authority and managed by the Palestinian Payment Services Company, continues to expand its services to include various governmental and private institutions, aiming to enhance a developed digital financial environment and reduce reliance on cash.
