The Myth of Peace and Ceasefire in Gaza Strip
Despite the entry into the second phase of Trump's initiative, in which he boasts of achieving peace in Gaza and even in the Middle East, the ongoing bombing and death toll in the Strip, which reaches dozens daily as occurred on Wednesday, alongside what is happening at the Rafah crossing after its opening as stipulated in the initiative—where Israel has not adhered to the agreed number of Palestinians entering and exiting and the entry of aid as agreed upon in Sharm el-Sheikh—coupled with the absence of any discussions about reconstruction, the withdrawal of the occupying army, or international support forces, not to mention what is happening in the West Bank, which is no less grave than what is occurring in the Gaza Strip.
All of this is not merely violations of the ceasefire; rather, it is a continuation of the genocide but through other means, or a recycling of war. This affirms that the Zionist enemy is still the actor and controller of all developments in the Gaza Strip and in the Palestinian scene in general. The (World Peace Council) and the United Nations that accepted it, along with mediators like Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar—the guarantors of the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement—and all Palestinian factions, whether the National Authority, Hamas, or the local technocrats’ committee; all are unable to deter Israel even to the extent of adhering to the agreements made in Sharm el-Sheikh. This raises a grave warning and reveals how Washington and Tel Aviv have utilized the ceasefire in the Strip to achieve their strategic goals under the pretext of the (World Peace Council), which has not touched upon the issue of Gaza or Palestine in its charter announced by Trump in Davos.
