Lebanese Soldier Killed and Others Injured in Explosion in Tyre

SadaNews - The Lebanese Army announced today, Saturday, the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of an officer and another soldier due to the explosion of a suspicious object inside a military vehicle that was on patrol in the town of Mansouri in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon. Lebanese media reported that the explosion occurred in the border town of Mansouri, resulting from ammunition left over from the war. They pointed out that the incident was not a result of any Israeli airstrike, but rather occurred during a military handling of unexploded ordnance from previous conflicts, which led to its sudden explosion.
