6 Surprises Await You at Samsung's Upcoming Conference.. What Will the Company Reveal?

SadaNews - The South Korean company Samsung is preparing to unveil a different lineup of products this year that could be its busiest and most diverse in years, starting with a new design for its foldable phones to compete with the anticipated foldable "iPhone Ultra", and including its awaited smart glasses, during its upcoming annual conference in July.

According to a report from the American tech site "Engadget", Samsung intends to unveil several foldable phones this year, marking a clear departure from past years when it announced only two foldable phones, alongside other smart products that complement the company's integrated ecosystem.

The report mentions that the conference will take place on July 22 in the British capital London, and it will be broadcast live as usual, but what will Samsung announce at this conference?

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide

In recent years, Samsung has adhered to a single fixed size for all of its foldable "Fold" category phones, which featured an extremely slim front screen and a wide internal screen. The report indicates that the company is changing this approach with the "Z Fold 8 Wide".

The "Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide" features a 7.8-inch internal screen with a 5.4-inch external screen, in addition to an overall wider front display compared to previous years.

The increase in screen width makes the experience of using the front screen closer to that of traditional phones.

Samsung is also abandoning the triple-camera setup on the back of the device in favor of a dual-camera setup, with varying reports on the device's name and category; some indicate it is a special version of the "Z Fold 8' while others suggest it is the standard version of that phone, according to the "Engadget" report.

Z Fold Ultra

The "Engadget" report indicates that Samsung plans to unveil a new category of foldable phones under the name "Z Fold 8 Ultra", similar to the "Galaxy S Ultra" phones, making this model the highest in specifications and price.

The phone comes with different specifications from previous devices, relying on an internal chip of the "Snapdragon" category with a 200-megapixel rear camera and 45-watt fast charging.

The design and specifications of the phone mirror what Apple is attempting to do with its foldable "iPhone Ultra", which the company plans to unveil in September, according to reports.

Galaxy Z Flip 8

The BGR report reveals several updates for Samsung's foldable clamshell phone, which is coming this year with a significantly thinner profile than previous generations, in addition to utilizing Samsung's leading "Exynos 2600" processor.

However, the phone retains the other main specifications similar to previous generations with slight improvements to the hinge used in the phone to make it more shock-resistant than its predecessors.

Several Smart Watches

The company will also announce several new models of its smartwatches this year, according to a report from "Android Police" that referenced the company registering a series of smartwatches with the Federal Communications Commission.

The company's announcement includes the "Galaxy Watch 9" in two sizes, either 40 millimeters or 44 millimeters, in addition to the "Galaxy Watch Ultra 2".

However, the "Engadget" report states that the watches this year will not represent a significant change from past years, as the new watches are expected to feature a design that mirrors the previous generation with a "Snapdragon Wear Elite" processor dedicated to smartwatches.

Samsung's Smart Glasses

Recently, reports have increased regarding Samsung's new smart glasses designed to compete with "Meta" glasses and similar products. The BGR report mentions the company's intention to announce these new glasses during the upcoming "Galaxy Unpacked" conference.

The specifications of the new glasses remain unknown for now, as the company first revealed the existence of these glasses at the Google I/O developer conference held several weeks ago.

The new glasses will be able to connect directly to the smart assistant "Gemini" with support for direct voice commands and a built-in speaker in the glasses.
