Sheikh Receives French Consul General and Swiss Confederation Representative in Farewell Meetings

SadaNews - The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Sheikh, received in two separate farewell meetings the French Consul General, Nicolas Cassianidis, and the representative of the Swiss Confederation to the State of Palestine, Anne-Lise Katien Heinen.

During the meetings, the latest developments in the region were discussed, particularly regarding regional security and ways to advance bilateral relations, especially following the French recognition of the State of Palestine, which contributes to advancing political efforts towards achieving peace.

Additionally, the importance of continuing to implement the Palestinian reform program as a Palestinian national requirement was reaffirmed, along with enhancing efforts to develop national institutions, in addition to emphasizing the necessity of entrenching the democratic approach through conducting the upcoming general elections.

At the conclusion of the meetings, the Vice President wished Mr. Cassianidis and Ms. Heinen success in their upcoming tasks, expressing his appreciation for their efforts in strengthening Palestinian-French and Palestinian-Swiss relations.
