Occupation Army Acknowledges the Death of a Soldier and Injuries to 4 Others in Southern Lebanon Battles
SadaNews: The Israeli occupation army announced on Sunday morning the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of four others during battles that took place in southern Lebanon. The army's statement clarified that the deceased soldier belonged to the Givati Brigade and was injured along with his comrades due to fire from a drone belonging to Hezbollah that targeted a military site near the border.
The "Walla" site reported, citing a military source, that the attack occurred using an armed drone, resulting in one death and several soldiers sustaining varying injuries. The source added that the Israeli army is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident amid rising tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border.
For its part, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the number of Israeli fatalities has risen to 13 since the ceasefire in Lebanon went into effect, including eight soldiers and one civilian who were killed as a result of attacks carried out by Hezbollah drones.
