West Bank: Raids, Arrests, and Clashes Resulting in Injuries
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale campaign of raids and incursions in several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem during the early hours of Monday, which included clashes and arrests, as well as searches and vandalism inside Palestinian homes.
The occupation forces stormed dozens of homes and conducted extensive searches, rummaging through their contents. They subjected residents to field interrogations after detaining them for hours, amidst reports of mistreatment.
In Nablus, the forces arrested two brothers from the town of Tal to the southwest of the city, one of whom is a 15-year-old child, following a raid and search of their homes. They also raided the villages of Beit Iba and Rujeib, continuing search operations in the town of Salem.
In Tulkarm, the occupation arrested three Palestinians, including a released prisoner, after storming their homes in the city and the suburb of D’Enaba to the east of it.
In occupied Jerusalem, the forces stormed the town of Anata and Shu'fat refugee camp, using tear gas and stun grenades while searching homes, during a time of escalating tensions in the city regarding decisions related to the confiscation of properties around Al-Aqsa Mosque and plans in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
In Ramallah and Al-Bireh, the incursions included Jalzone camp and several villages and towns, where the forces fired tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinian homes. Meanwhile, Qalqilya and Bethlehem witnessed sporadic raids and arrests, accompanied by vehicle stops and field investigations.
A young man was also arrested in the town of Tarqumiyah north of Hebron, while the Israeli army continued its operations in Jenin, issuing a military order to confiscate lands in Qabatiya to expand military points.
These developments come amidst ongoing daily arrest campaigns in the West Bank, accompanied by repeated home incursions, searches, vandalism, and assaults on residents, according to local sources.
