Iran Threatens Uranium Enrichment to Weapon-Grade Levels

SadaNews - On Tuesday, Ibrahim Razaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stated that Tehran could enrich uranium to a purity level of up to 90%, which is considered suitable for weapon manufacturing, if the country faces another attack.

Razaei wrote on X platform: "Enriching to 90% might be one of the options available to Iran in the event of another attack. We will discuss this matter in parliament."

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stirred a new wave of speculation regarding the possibility of a military operation inside Iran, aimed at reclaiming or securing the high-purity enriched uranium stockpile, as talks between Washington and Tehran continue to stall.

Trump stated in remarks made on Monday that Iran had initially offered to accompany the U.S. side to the damaged nuclear facilities, but then backtracked, adding that the Iranians told him: "You should take it yourselves."

The U.S. president confirmed that Washington is closely monitoring the site, warning that the United States "will deal forcefully" with any attempt to approach the uranium stockpile.

For his part, Netanyahu spoke more directly during an interview with the "60 Minutes" program. In response to a question about how to extract uranium from Iran, he said: "You intervene and take it."

He added that Trump informed him of his desire to carry out such an operation, considering it "practically possible," without disclosing additional details related to the nature of the operation or its potential timing.
