Israel Acknowledges Failure of All Options Against Hezbollah Drones

Translation by SadaNews - The Hebrew channel Reshet Kan reported on Monday evening that the Israeli army admitted it does not have a solution for the drones launched by Hezbollah.

According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, Israeli Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, held a special security discussion on this matter in recent days, addressing the threat posed by suicide drones.

The discussion was attended by senior officials from the Israeli army and ended without reaching a conclusion.

The meeting held last night included representatives from Unit 81, the technical unit under the Special Operations Directorate, and representatives from the Research and Development Directorate of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and the head of the technology department and the deputy chief of staff were also present.

Representatives presented several ideas to protect Israeli soldiers, but a satisfactory result has not yet been reached.

According to the channel, several infantry and armored brigades, along with engineering units, continue their operations in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah targets.

The Israeli army estimates that since the ceasefire began, about two hundred and fifty militants have been eliminated, but only a few of them are linked to operating the explosive drones, which have become the main threat to forces in the security zone.

For its part, Channel 12 reported that in 2018, a security discussion was held regarding the threat of unmanned aerial vehicles, and there was a dismissive attitude regarding their potential danger, which has now become the most urgent threat.
