Maariv: The United States Has Granted Iran an Advantage by Linking Arenas During Any Agreement

Translation by SadaNews - The Hebrew newspaper Maariv reported on Friday that the Israeli military leadership believes the United States has granted Iran its greatest advantage by linking the ceasefire in its territories to other arenas, especially Lebanon.

According to the newspaper, as translated by SadaNews, the Israeli army observes as a result of this the intensification of Hezbollah's attacks and its behavior has changed from before.

An Israeli officer stated that Hezbollah is continuously pushing its forces towards the south.

Although the Israeli Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, announced the destruction of most bridges over the Litani River and cutting southern Lebanon off from the rest of the areas, the military leadership insists that Hezbollah continues to send reinforcements to fight Israeli forces in various ways.

According to the newspaper, Israel is only engaged in a defensive battle in part of the Lebanese theater; it does not control the entire theater. Worse yet, it is currently not attacking sufficiently and is limited to defensive operations without any significant offensive.

The newspaper viewed the attack against the commander of the Ridwaan Force in the southern suburb of Beirut as a necessary and correct step, but the problem lies in the need to carry out such operations daily.

It emphasized the necessity of pursuing Hezbollah leaders; they need to focus on their survival rather than planning operations against the Israeli army and settlements in the north, and this should be understood within the Israeli army and, above all, on a political level, according to its statement.

It observed that such pressure on the leaders of Hezbollah and Hamas in Gaza would lead to pressure on Iran, which could also contribute to achieving a significant result regarding the war on Iran.
