Russia Announces Interception of Over 50 Drones Heading to Moscow

SadaNews - Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that Russian air defense units intercepted more than 50 drones that were heading towards the capital over a period of about 15 hours.

Sobyanin mentioned in a series of lengthy messages on the Telegram app that the total number of drones shot down between around 11 AM yesterday, Thursday, and 2 AM today, Friday, exceeded 50. He added that emergency teams are inspecting the debris on the ground.

In a separate post on Telegram, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 95 Ukrainian drones were intercepted within just four hours in various regions of central and southern Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it will adhere to a ceasefire for three days starting from midnight on May 8 until May 10, in commemoration of the anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
