Approval of the Final Results of the 2026 Local Elections

SadaNews - The Central Election Commission announced today, Thursday, the approval of the final results of the local elections that took place on April 25, 2026, which were published on its website, following the conclusion of the appeals process before the Electoral Court.

During the appeals period, 60 challenges were submitted to the competent court regarding the preliminary results announced by the committee on April 26 of last month, including challenges related to the results of the acclamation. The court decided to reject 56 challenges and accept 4 challenges. Thus, the results became final and non-challengeable.

Accordingly, the Election Commission officially submitted the final results to the Ministry of Local Government, including certificates of victory for all lists and candidates in the local bodies where voting took place, totaling 183 local bodies. Additionally, the commission had previously submitted certificates of victory for the local bodies where lists won by acclamation, totaling 197 local bodies.
