Pixel 11 leaks reveal a big surprise

SadaNews - New leaks have revealed nearly complete specifications for the highly anticipated Pixel series, which appear to focus this year on addressing the major weaknesses that "Pixel" phones have suffered from in recent years, notably heat, power consumption, and call quality.

Tensor G6 processor with 2nm technology

One of the most significant changes in the new series is the Tensor G6 processor, which will be manufactured for the first time using 2nm technology from "TSMC," instead of relying on previous manufacturing techniques.

This shift is expected to directly reflect on energy efficiency and the continual performance improvement, both of which have been heavily criticized in previous Pixel phones, according to a report published by "gizmochina" and reviewed by "Al Arabiya Business."

According to the leaks, the processor will adopt a CPU design with a configuration of 1+4+2, featuring new generation ARM cores and will include a PowerVR graphics processor, alongside an upgraded TPU for artificial intelligence tasks and the Titan M3 security chip.

The end of the Exynos modem

Another major surprise is Google's shift to the MediaTek M90 modem instead of the Exynos modems from Samsung, which have faced ongoing criticism due to heat issues and weak connectivity in some Pixel phones.

The M90 is one of the modern 5G-Advanced modems unveiled by MediaTek at the beginning of 2025, and it's expected to offer better stability and higher energy efficiency.

Specifications of Pixel 11

Reports indicate that the Pixel 11 will feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with a variable refresh rate between 60 and 120 Hz, and HDR brightness reaching 2000 nits, while the maximum brightness will be 3100 nits.

It will also include a battery with a capacity close to 4840mAh, a new 50-megapixel main camera, and RAM options of 8 or 12 GB.

Greater enhancements in the "Pro" versions

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL will receive higher resolution displays with a brightness of up to 3600 nits, along with RAM options of up to 16 GB.

Moreover, the main cameras and telephoto lenses will see new improvements, while the Pro version will feature a 4707mAh battery, while the Pro XL will come with a 5000mAh battery.

Although the battery capacities have not changed much compared to the Pixel 10 series, major improvements in processor efficiency may lead to noticeably better battery life.

Goodbye to the temperature sensor

Another notable change is Google's abandonment of the infrared temperature sensing module, replacing it with a small RGB lighting system called "Pixel Glow," which is said to operate similarly to the Glyph interface found in Nothing phones.

Conversely, it seems that the infrared unlock feature, which appeared in previous leaks, will not be ready this year.

Overall, the leaks indicate that the Pixel 11 series will not offer a radical design change, but will focus on enhancing the daily experience and addressing the technical flaws that have impacted the reputation of "Pixel" phones in previous generations.
