"Relief is Near".. The First Comment from Fadl Shaker's Son on His Acquittal Verdict

SadaNews - After the acquittal verdict in a murder case was issued, the son of singer Fadl Shaker commented on the court's decision. Mohamed wrote in a post on his Instagram account: "Thank God, Lord of the Worlds, my father Fadl Shaker's acquittal verdict has been issued in the first case."

He also added in a story posted yesterday, Wednesday, that he and his family "have complete confidence in the Lebanese judiciary in its new era," adding, "Relief is near, God willing."

This comes after the Beirut Criminal Court issued a ruling acquitting Shaker in the case for which he was prosecuted alongside detained Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir, on charges of attempting to kill Hilal Hamoud, who was a member of the resistance brigades affiliated with Hezbollah. It is worth noting that Hamoud had filed a criminal lawsuit against the Lebanese artist 11 years ago, accusing him of threatening him with death. However, he later retracted and denied Shaker's involvement in any threats, withdrawing the lawsuit.

"Aabra Events"

It is noted that another session awaits Shaker before the military court on May 26 of this month, to continue the case related to the Aabra events that occurred in late June 2013 near the city of Sidon, between the Lebanese army and gunmen affiliated with Ahmad al-Assir, following an attack on a military checkpoint.

Shaker is accused of financing al-Assir's group and supporting it with weapons as well as assaulting a Lebanese army checkpoint. However, he has denied all the charges against him.

In October 2025, the owner of the song "Ya Ghaib" surrendered himself to the Lebanese army intelligence at the entrance of Ain al-Hilweh camp, which he had resided in for over 10 years, in order to close his legal case.

Since six months ago, his trials have started regarding the cases of Hamoud and the Aabra events, in addition to facing charges related to financing terrorist groups and money laundering.
