Launch of Arab Traffic Week Activities in Tubas

SadaNews - The activities of Arab Traffic Week were launched today, Wednesday, in the city of Tubas, with official and popular participation, featuring artistic and theatrical performances, as well as an awareness exhibition related to traffic safety.

The Governor of Tubas and the Northern Valleys, Ahmad Al-As'ad, stated that these activities are aimed at enhancing traffic culture among citizens, praising the role of the Palestinian police in raising community awareness. He added that society needs a civilized behavior and a personal motivation to adhere to traffic rules, alongside having a legal deterrent in case of non-compliance.

Al-As'ad pointed to the campaigns implemented by the police during the past years to control illegal vehicles, as they significantly affect the reduction of traffic accidents that have claimed the lives of a number of citizens. He also affirmed the continuation of national efforts despite challenges, in order to achieve national independence, as he put it, praising the role of the security institution in the success of the electoral process and enhancing the rule of law.

For his part, Minister of Justice Sharhabil Al-Zaim stated that adherence to the law forms the core message of Arab Traffic Week, emphasizing the importance of integrated efforts among the ministries of interior, justice, transport, and communications to enhance traffic safety and protect lives.

Al-Zaim urged citizens to comply with the instructions of the Palestinian police, stressing the importance of establishing a culture of traffic safety as a national and humanitarian responsibility.
