The Palestinian People’s Party, represented by the Secretary General, members of the Political Bureau, the Central Committee, and all comrades and supporters of the party, mourns one of its prominent leaders, the national and party leader, comrade activist: engineer Munther Raghib Barghouthi, former Deputy Head of the Engineers’ Syndicate, who passed away today, Wednesday, 6/5/2026, at the age of 60, having dedicated over forty years to the ranks of the Palestinian Communist Party and the Palestinian People’s Party, committed to serving the national, social, democratic, and professional issues of his party and people through his work as an electrical engineer and through his tireless activism in the Engineers’ Syndicate, after a life filled with contribution and national sacrifices.

Our late comrade Munther Raghib Barghouthi lived his life as a steadfast fighter defending his homeland, people, and just causes, as well as the values and principles of the party. Since childhood, he experienced the circumstances of persecution and imprisonment faced by his father, the activist comrade Raghib Barghouthi, and his family.

He held many party duties for our party in the Ramallah governorate and in the student leadership committee at Soviet universities, as well as membership in the Party's Professional Organization for the engineers’ sector, and previously served as Deputy Head of the Engineers' Syndicate, where everyone attests to his commitment, perseverance, and dedication to serve this vital sector.

Our late comrade Munther Raghib Barghouthi was a model of the activist and devoted public party and national volunteer, ever-present, as well as a model of loyalty to humanistic progressive thought, an example of humility, belonging, dedication, cleanliness of hands, high morals, and boundless humanity.

In these painful moments, as the Palestinian People's Party bids farewell to its departed comrade, it extends its heartfelt condolences to his wife, the educator Zikra Barghouthi, to his son and two daughters, to his sister Dr. Inshad Barghouthi, and to his brothers Dr. Adwan Barghouthi, engineer Thaer Barghouthi, professor Hazem Barghouthi, professor Abdul Nasser Barghouthi, and his brother currently imprisoned in the occupation prisons, the activist Mu’in Raghib Barghouthi, and to the honorable people of Kober and the Barghouthi family.

Peace be upon the soul of our late comrade engineer Munther Raghib Barghouthi, and glory and eternal memory to his remembrance.
