Suddenly.. UAE announces countering Iranian missiles and drone explosion in an oil area
SadaNews - The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Monday evening that it had detected 4 cruise missiles launched from Iran towards its territory.
The ministry clarified in a statement that 3 missiles were successfully intercepted over the territorial waters, while the fourth fell into the sea.
It noted that the sounds heard in different parts of the country were a result of the successful interception of aerial threats.
The media office for the Government of Fujairah reported that a fire broke out in the Fujairah oil industrial area following a drone strike from Iran.
This announcement came after the detection of an aerial threat, which prompted the activation of early warning systems in Dubai and other areas of the UAE.
This occurred at a time when a British maritime agency reported that a cargo ship north of Dubai had reported a fire in its engine room, the cause of which remains unknown.
Meanwhile, the South Korean foreign ministry previously reported that a fire coincided with an explosion on board a Korean ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
The United States stated that its warships and other commercial vessels had entered through the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran denied this, claiming it had fired warning shots at American ships, which the latter also denied.
