Palestinian-Russian Talks to Strengthen Cooperation within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

SadaNews - On Sunday, May 3, 2026, a bilateral meeting took place at the permanent mission of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, bringing together His Excellency Ambassador Hadi Shibli, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the organization, and Second Secretary Ather Amri, with His Excellency Ambassador Turko Dawdou, the Permanent Observer of the Russian Federation to the organization.

The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, where the importance of continuing coordination and joint consultation was emphasized, and several regional and international issues of mutual interest were discussed, including developments in the region and the humanitarian and political situation in the Palestinian territories.

The two sides also addressed the upcoming entitlements within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in economic fields, including preparations for the upcoming International Kazan Economic Conference.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continuing communication and coordination to serve mutual interests and strengthen joint work within the framework of the organization.
