Police Deploy 1800 Personnel to Secure 2026 General Secondary Examinations

SadaNews - The Palestinian police began implementing their security plan this morning to secure the General Secondary Examinations (Tawjihi) for the year 2026, by deploying 1800 of their personnel across various governorates in the West Bank, in accordance with the directives of Major General Alam Al-Saqa, the Director General of Police, and his approval of the operational order that organizes all details related to ensuring the smooth conduct of the examinations.

The police are responsible for securing 492 schools that contain 524 examination halls, where approximately 51,000 male and female students will sit for their exams across the West Bank, as part of a comprehensive operational plan aimed at providing suitable conditions for the exams to proceed smoothly and orderly.

The security measures include deploying police patrols around schools and student gathering areas, in addition to securing examination halls, directorates of education, accompanying the transport of exam questions and answer sheets, securing correction centers, all under the direct supervision of the central operations room of the police and the branch offices in the governorates, in full cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Education and security agencies.

The police confirmed that they are closely monitoring the implementation of the field plan in all its details to ensure a safe and calm environment for students, contributing to their successful performance during the examinations.

The police reiterated their call for citizens to cooperate and maintain calm in the vicinity of schools, avoiding any actions that may cause disturbances, thus enhancing the provision of a suitable atmosphere for our students during the examination period, wishing them success and achievement.
