"Rabat, the Capital of Arab Media" Hosts High-Level Discussion Titled "Jerusalem: A Global Narrative for Peace"
Sada News - The Moroccan capital, Rabat, will host a high-level discussion on the topic: "Jerusalem: A Global Narrative for Peace" on Monday and Tuesday, June 22 and 23, 2026, organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Ash-Sharif Agency in cooperation with the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication - Communication Sector.
This important discussion will witness the attendance of the ministers in charge of media from the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Palestine, alongside the assistant secretaries-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, as well as a group of representatives from Arab professional federations, and a selection of experts and academics.
This discussion is organized within the framework of the decision issued by the (55th) session of the Council of Arab Media Ministers on November 26, 2025, which considered Rabat the Capital of Arab Media for the year 2026, with special activities focused on Al-Quds Ash-Sharif, reflecting the role played by the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, to elevate the values of dialogue regarding issues of humanitarian and civilizational significance, foremost among them the issue of Jerusalem and Palestine.
The discussion is based on a strategic vision that supports the Palestinian narrative grounded in historical, legal, and humanitarian facts, enhancing its presence in Arab and international media with a robust professional language that can penetrate global public opinion, while highlighting practical experiences that have proven the possibility of rapprochement among all, in a manner that preserves the Palestinians' inherent and inalienable rights.
This forum, which brings together media officials, experts, academics, and professionals, aims to develop more impactful media approaches in addressing the issues of Jerusalem, primarily based on documentation, knowledge, and humanitarian content, keeping pace with rapid digital transformations, ensuring the Palestinian narrative is present in the global media space more effectively.
The discussions will be divided into three sessions; the sessions of the first day will be held at the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, gathering ministers and representatives of Arab and Islamic organizations, accredited diplomats, and heads of professional federations and journalists' unions in Morocco and Palestine, while the interactive session scheduled for the second day at the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Ash-Sharif Agency will feature an expanded meeting including academics and experts from various specialized backgrounds.
The organizers aim, through this session, to formulate a general concept for a comprehensive document that brings together diverse terms to create professional and humanitarian content capable of reaching a global audience, focusing on the multifaceted civilizational and humanitarian aspect of Jerusalem, and building Arab media approaches that consider the profound transformations occurring in the Middle East, contributing to enhancing the presence of the Palestinian narrative in media institutions, think tanks, and international decision-making bodies.
