Norway Plans to Ban Its Citizens and Companies from Trading Goods Produced in Settlements
SadaNews - The Norwegian government has stated that it intends to impose a ban on its citizens and companies from trading goods produced in Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land.
The Norwegian Foreign Minister, Espen Barth Eide, said in a statement, "Citizens and companies in Norway should not benefit from activities that assist in the ongoing illegal Israeli colonial activities in Palestine or support them."
The proposed bill, which is likely to be approved by the Norwegian Parliament, includes a ban on the import and export of goods with Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory, and it also prohibits real estate transactions.
