Vance: Things Are Going Well in Iran Talks

SadaNews - U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed today, Saturday, that envoys Steve Wittkoff and Jared Kushner are on the ground in Switzerland to participate in the anticipated technical talks with the Iranians.

Vance added in remarks to "Fox News" that talks with Tehran might take place tomorrow, Sunday, noting that things are going well in the ongoing negotiations.

He also clarified that Washington is confident in its ability to maintain the ceasefire, affirming that the U.S. administration will give negotiations with Iran a chance.

Vance expected to head to Switzerland in the next couple of days, adding, "But as you know, it requires precise coordination and diplomatic protocols."

This came as Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived today, Saturday, in the city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran, where the Pakistani guest met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, as reported by Iranian official agencies.

Earlier today, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baqaei, announced that Naqvi is scheduled to hold talks with Araqchi during his visit to Tehran.

Baqaei also explained that Naqvi's visit is part of the ongoing efforts by Islamabad regarding the negotiations between Iran and the United States, according to the "ISNA" news agency.

The Swiss Foreign Ministry also confirmed earlier today that diplomats from all parties continue their efforts in Bürgenstock to facilitate the negotiations. It stated in a statement: "Diplomats from various countries present are continuing their efforts to promote dialogue."

It also clarified that it cannot disclose any information regarding the attendees at the resort or the discussions for confidentiality reasons.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed optimism about resolving all outstanding issues with Iran within 60 days, once again waving the military option if a final agreement is not reached.
