Injury of Three Citizens in an Attack by Settlers East of Salfit

SadaNews - Three citizens were injured today, Saturday, as a result of an attack by settlers on them in the village of Iskaka, east of Salfit.

Local sources reported that a group of settlers attacked the citizens: Bashar Lami, Ayesha Lami, and Fawzia Lami, while they were picking sage in the village's land, and assaulted them with blows, resulting in injuries and bruises, after which they were transferred to the hospital.

Recently, the Salfit Governorate has witnessed an increase in settler attacks against citizens and their properties.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation army and settlers carried out a total of 1,659 attacks during the month of May, with the occupation army conducting 1,108 attacks, while settlers carried out 551 attacks.

The commission stated that the attacks varied between direct physical violence, uprooting trees, burning fields, preventing farmers from accessing their lands, seizing properties, in addition to demolishing houses and agricultural facilities.
