Gold prices near $4,830 an ounce... and silver ounce near $80
SadaNews - Gold prices recorded an increase during the trading session on Sunday, April 19, with the price of an ounce of gold reaching approximately $4,830.
Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of silver was recorded near $80.
The price of gold had fallen by about 8% since the beginning of the war, as the liquidity shortage in the first weeks of the conflict led investors to sell their holdings to cover losses elsewhere. In a sign that buyers are returning to the market, gold-backed exchange-traded funds added about 25 tons since the beginning of the month after reducing their holdings by about 94 tons in March, according to Bloomberg's calculations.
