Shocking the Egyptians: A Woman Ends Her Life from the 13th Floor in a Live Broadcast

SadaNews - On Sunday, social media users in Egypt circulated a video of a woman named "Basant" who appeared in a live broadcast on her personal page standing on her apartment balcony, preparing to end her life. Comments from viewers can be seen pleading with her to refrain from taking such action, but to no avail.

It was noted in the comments on the live broadcast that the woman resides on the thirteenth floor of a building located in the Smouha area, downtown Alexandria. Data indicates that there are ongoing disputes between her and her ex-husband, which was evident in the words she spoke prior to the incident.

The last thing the woman said in the circulated video was: "God is sufficient for me against slander, gossip, and falsely accusing people... God is sufficient for me and the best disposer of affairs against everyone I presumed to be my support and I found them not there." After that, she climbed over the balcony railing and jumped, with the sound of impact audible.

Meanwhile, the last thing the woman wrote on her personal page was: "Take care of my children."

The video gained traction and caused shock among the audience. While many expressed sympathy for the woman, another group argued that suicide is not a solution and that depression should not drive any person to take such an action and end their life.

On their part, security agencies in Alexandria are currently conducting investigations to verify the video that has been circulated on social media, showing a woman ending her life by jumping from a high balcony in one of the residential buildings.
