Israel Warns "Hezbollah Money Changers": Continued Funding Puts You at Risk
SadaNews - Israel warned on Wednesday those it describes as money exchangers working in the service of Hezbollah, stating that it will target them unless they stop their activities funding the group.
The Israeli army issued a warning message stating: "A message to the money exchangers working in the service of Hezbollah, given your activities in funding Hezbollah, the Israeli army warns you that your continued funding of Hezbollah puts you at risk."
The Israeli army added: "The message to the people of Lebanon: For your safety, avoid any contact with Hezbollah money exchangers, and steer clear of them."
It clarified that "during the war, the Israeli army targeted Hezbollah's funding sources through the Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association and fuel networks. Another targeted source is the exchange network, which is considered the main and most important financial source for this terrorist organization."
The army also mentioned in its statement two individuals it accuses of facilitating funding for Hezbollah, stating: "The two individuals, Mohammad Nour al-Din and Hussein Ibrahim, serve as primary money exchangers for Hezbollah. Mohammad is a Lebanese businessman owning several exchange companies, including Trade Point International S.A.R.L, registered in Lebanon, which is used as a platform for transferring money from several countries to Hezbollah. Nour al-Din exploits local exchangers in multiple countries, thus successfully executing money transfer operations."
It continued: "As for the individual named Hussein Ibrahim, he is also a central figure in this type of exchange network, being a businessman and exchanger with connections in several countries, managing a company named BOA CHANCE that operates outside of Lebanon. His activities include collaboration with other entities, using front companies and international trade routes for money laundering and transferring funds."
