The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Receives Ambassador Dwaas Dwaas on the Occasion of Assuming His Duties
SadaNews - Hussein Ibrahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, received Dr. Dwaas Taysir Dwaas in his office today on the occasion of his assumption of duties in his new position as Assistant Secretary-General for Palestinian and Jerusalem Affairs.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General welcomed Ambassador Dwaas, wishing him all the success and prosperity in his new duties, expressing his confidence that his extensive experience will effectively contribute to enhancing the organization's efforts to support the just Palestinian cause.
For his part, Ambassador Dwaas conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas to the Secretary-General and his appreciation for the role the organization plays in defending the issues of the Islamic nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. Dwaas expressed his pride in the trust of the Secretary-General and the member states in him, affirming his determination to exert every effort in following up on the organization’s decisions regarding Palestine and Jerusalem and to contribute to mobilizing all forms of support for the rights of the Palestinian people and their just cause.
