OIC Condemns Israeli Occupation Authorities' Decision to Seize 15 Houses and Displace Palestinian Families in Occupied Jerusalem
SadaNews - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation's unlawful decision to seize 15 houses in the town of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem, and to carry out a process of forced displacement of Palestinian families from these homes, in preparation for handing them over to settlement organizations.
The General Secretariat warned of the seriousness of these unlawful measures, which constitute an escalation in the policy of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities, aimed at changing the Arab identity, Palestinian presence, and the demographic situation in occupied Jerusalem.
The General Secretariat affirmed that all decisions of the Israeli occupation, annexation plans, settlement activities, and attempts to impose the claimed Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank are considered null and void, lacking legitimacy under international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
It also renewed its call to the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and to put an end to all violations and crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
