Police Deal With (39) Fallen Rocket Shrapnels in Various Provinces During Thursday

SadaNews - The police spokesman, Major Luay Erziqat, confirmed that since the early hours of this Thursday, the central operations room of the police has recorded the fall of nearly (39) rocket shrapnels in the provinces of the homeland.

Erziqat stated that these shrapnels were documented and dealt with by rapid response patrols, which worked to secure the area and eliminate the danger until the explosives engineering department arrived, which handled them in a safe and professional manner and removed the danger according to where they fell.

21 shrapnels fell in Ramallah, 6 in Nablus, 5 in Tulkarem, 4 in Salfit, 2 in the outskirts of Jerusalem, and 1 in Bethlehem.

The police renewed their confirmation and appeal to all citizens to comply with the instructions, which relate to taking the utmost caution and vigilance in such cases, seeking fortified and safer places, avoiding gathering or approaching the shrapnels or tampering with them, and refraining from climbing onto rooftops or exposed areas to observe the missiles due to the danger of such behavior, as well as the necessity of providing protection for children and the elderly and keeping them away from windows, and the need to avoid closing windows completely for fear of them being shattered and injuring those nearby.

They stressed not to underestimate the tampering with the shrapnels and remnants of the rockets, whether by dragging, moving them, or transporting them, as they may contain dangerous materials that could explode, cause skin burns, or contain toxic substances, emphasizing that adherence to the instructions preserves the lives of citizens and the safety of others.

Erziqat confirmed the necessity of reporting any incidents or falling rocket shrapnels via the police's free number (100), or civil defense (102), or the Red Crescent (101).
