Mustafa Calls for Strengthening and Developing Government Work Methodology to Be More Flexible and Responsive to Developments
SadaNews - Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa chaired a ministerial meeting today, Thursday, at his office in Ramallah, dedicated to discussing ways to intensify and enhance programs that support the steadfastness of citizens, and to review and evaluate existing programs, in light of the increasing political, economic, and social challenges facing our people due to the actions of the occupation and its settlers, as well as the ongoing escalation in the region.
During the meeting, ministers reviewed a package of programs, plans, and projects being implemented by various ministries and institutions aimed at strengthening the resilience of citizens, especially in marginalized and most affected and targeted areas, while focusing on directing available resources towards priority interventions that have a direct impact on the lives of citizens.
The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of making a qualitative leap in the methodology of government work to enhance its flexibility and sustainability, as well as its ability to respond quickly to various developments, and to bring services closer to citizens, stressing the importance of integrating roles among government institutions and unifying efforts to ensure the provision of more efficient and effective services.
Mustafa also stressed the continuation of work on parallel tracks that include strengthening internal steadfastness, continuing the national struggle, and building state institutions, alongside intensifying diplomatic efforts to garner more international recognition, contributing to achieving our people's goals of freedom and independence and establishing the Palestinian state on the ground.
In the financial context, the Prime Minister noted that the draft general budget for 2026 included a significant increase in emergency and urgent response allocations, which rose from about 40 million shekels to 516 million shekels, in a step aimed at enhancing the government's readiness to deal with crises and emergency conditions, and ensuring the continuity of providing basic services to citizens.
Mustafa reiterated that enhancing the resilience of citizens and elevating the level of services will remain at the forefront of the government's priorities, despite the challenges, reflecting its commitment to improving the quality of life and strengthening the pillars of steadfastness on the ground.
