Jordan announces interception of more than 220 missiles and drones since the start of the war on Iran

SadaNews - The Jordanian army reported on Saturday that the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted 222 missiles and drones launched towards the kingdom since Israel and the United States began their war on Iran on February 28.

The army stated in a statement: "The total number of missiles and drones launched towards the kingdom since the onset of the war has reached 240."

It added: "The Royal Jordanian Air Force was able to intercept and destroy 222 missiles and drones, while the defenses failed to intercept 18 missiles and drones."

The Military Media Directorate clarified in the statement that the army dealt in the third week of the war with "dozens of missiles and drones launched from Iran towards Jordanian territory, as the kingdom was targeted with 36 missiles and drones."

It noted: "14 missiles and 21 drones were intercepted and destroyed, while the defenses could not counter one attack during the third week of the war."

The Jordanian army has been asserting since the first week of the war that Iran is attempting to target vital facilities in the kingdom, and that its missiles and drones launched towards Jordan were not merely passing by.

For its part, the Jordanian Public Security said today that "the total number of fallouts (fragments or debris) since the start of the war has reached 414."

The number of injuries to date, according to previous official data, stands at 29 injured, all of whom "have left the hospitals."
