Ukraine Launched 300 Drones Toward Russia Overnight
SadaNews - Ukraine launched 283 drones toward Russia on the night from Friday to Saturday, in one of the highest figures since the conflict began, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the official news agency "RIA Novosti", the drones were intercepted without any recorded damages or injuries.
Yuri Slyusar, the governor of Rostov, mentioned that about 90 of the drones targeted the Rostov border region.
The governor of the Saratov region in southwestern Russia reported two injuries due to a drone attack that damaged several homes.
Meanwhile, Vyacheslav Chaus, the governor of the Chernihiv region in northern Ukraine, stated that electricity was cut off for most residents of the region on Saturday following a Russian drone attack. Ukrainian and American negotiators are scheduled to meet in the United States today (Saturday) to continue discussions on a ceasefire plan, as stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, amid stalled negotiations aimed at ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.
The talks between Russia and Ukraine, facilitated by the United States, have been halted due to the war in the Middle East that erupted on February 28, with American-Israeli strikes on Iran.
In response to the Russian strikes targeting its territory daily since 2022, Kyiv has been launching attacks on targets inside Russia, claiming it primarily aims at military and energy infrastructure.
