The President reiterated his condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting several Arab countries and regional states, emphasizing the importance of stopping them and the necessity of sparing the region and the world further escalation and the expansion of this war. The President affirmed the need to stop Israeli attacks on Lebanon, due to the risks it poses to the brotherly Lebanese state and people, and the importance of international efforts to stop the escalation and for the Lebanese state to regain full control over its land and borders. The President informed the Egyptian president about the serious developments occurring in the Palestinian territories, especially in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, amid the ongoing violations of the Israeli occupation against our Palestinian people, the escalation of settlers' attacks, and the one-sided Israeli measures and policies aimed at imposing a fait accompli and undermining what remains of the chances for achieving the internationally supported two-state solution. The President stressed the importance of obliging the Israeli occupation authorities to implement a ceasefire according to the proposed international plans and UN Security Council resolutions, the necessity to reopen the Rafah crossing, to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, and to start implementing the second phase of the UN resolution calling for the complete Israeli withdrawal from the sector, and for the armed factions to surrender their weapons, according to the principle of one state, one law, and one legitimate weapon. The President also renewed his emphasis on the importance of not having a double standard, establishing new systems and laws in the Gaza Strip, and committing to full coordination with the Palestinian government, within the framework of the coordination office that was established, and expediting the restoration of the Palestinian National Authority’s full responsibilities in the sector, as it is the sovereign entity there. The President praised Egypt's pivotal and significant role in supporting the Palestinian people, and the efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt to ceasefire, deliver humanitarian aid, and achieve calm and stability in the region. For his part, President el-Sisi confirmed his country’s continued support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and Egypt's keenness to continue its efforts to stop the escalation, stabilize the ceasefire, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and work with international and regional parties to stop the escalation in the region and engage in dialogue to achieve peace and stability. The official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Mohamed Shenawy, stated that the call addressed the ongoing regional developments, where President el-Sisi emphasized the necessity of stopping the current escalation and the priority of a peaceful solution to all the region's crises, which preserves the stability of countries and the resources of peoples. The two presidents stressed their complete rejection of the Iranian attacks on Arab countries, especially in light of those countries' positions rejecting war and their efforts to prevent it, and they warned of the negative repercussions of the war on the situations in the region, particularly the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, as well as the related economic implications. The official spokesperson indicated that the two presidents also discussed the developments of the Palestinian issue and the efforts made by Egypt with mediators and all active parties to ensure the completion of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and to deliver adequate humanitarian aid to the residents of the sector.
