SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump has vowed a "soon" response to the attack targeting the U.S. embassy in Riyadh.
A correspondent from the "News Nation" network stated on the "X" platform that Trump told the network that the response to the attack that targeted the U.S. embassy in Riyadh and the killing of U.S. soldiers during the conflict with Iran "will be known soon".
In a related context, Trump said: "I do not believe that the deployment of ground forces will be necessary in Iran".
In a post on "X" on Tuesday, the Saudi Ministry of Defense, citing a preliminary assessment, reported that the U.S. embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones, resulting in a limited fire and some material damage.
The U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia has advised its citizens to stay at home in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dhahran, and restricted non-essential travel to any military facilities in the region, according to "AFP".
The official spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Defense confirmed on Monday the interception and destruction of "5 hostile drones near Prince Sultan Air Base".
Two drones that attempted to attack the Ras Tanura refinery were also intercepted and destroyed on Monday morning.
