US Central Command: Kuwaiti defenses mistakenly shot down our fighters
SadaNews - The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the downing of three US Air Force fighter jets over Kuwaiti territory by friendly fire.
The command confirmed in a statement that the Kuwaiti air defenses mistakenly shot down the aircraft.
Earlier today, the official spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Otaibi, announced the downing of several American warplanes, with their crews surviving entirely.
Previously, circulated footage on social media showed the moment a warplane, reportedly American, fell in Kuwait, while its pilots parachuted to safety.
For its part, the Tasnim agency reported that Iran shot down an American fighter jet over Kuwaiti airspace, confirming that the pilots ejected with parachutes.
