Syria: 4 Killed in Sweida Due to Mutual Strikes Between Israel and Iran

SadaNews - The Sweida Media Directorate announced that 4 civilians were killed and others injured due to the explosion of a missile in the industrial area inside the city in southern Syria, amid rising tensions and mutual strikes between Israel and Iran.

The directorate reported casualties and several wounded as a result of a missile explosion in the industrial area within the city of Sweida, according to the Syrian news agency "SANA".

In this regard, the Syrian news channel mentioned that the Israeli occupation intercepted an Iranian missile in the village of Al-Hiran in the countryside of Quneitra (south), without any injuries reported.

The channel also noted the fall of another missile on the city of Inkhel in the Daraa Governorate in southern Syria due to the mutual strikes between Israel and Iran, resulting in no human casualties.

The Syrian Civil Defense issued a warning statement today, Saturday, calling for complete adherence to general safety guidelines amidst the ongoing regional and international military tensions and developments.

The Syrian Civil Defense published a set of measures on its Telegram channel, including moving inside buildings when hearing explosion sounds, and staying away from windows and exposed surfaces.

They urged the public not to approach any suspicious object or debris and to immediately inform the relevant authorities.

They called for the prevention of gatherings or approaching debris fall sites to facilitate the work of emergency teams and avoid secondary injuries, and to report immediately any fire caused by falling military objects.

This coincides with an attack launched by Israel and the United States on Saturday morning against Iran, targeting the capital Tehran and the cities of Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, and Kermanshah, while Tehran announced the start of a widespread retaliatory attack with missiles and drones.

Following the attack, Iran announced the launch of strikes on all American bases in the region in response to the aggression from the United States and Israel against its territory.
