Jordanian Army Announces the Downing of Two Ballistic Missiles Targeting the Kingdom
SadaNews - The Jordanian army announced on Saturday the downing of two ballistic missiles that targeted the Kingdom's territory.
The army had earlier announced that its air force was conducting aerial missions to "protect the skies of the Kingdom and preserve its sovereignty" following the commencement of strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran.
The statement said that "the sounds heard in the skies of several areas of the Kingdom are due to aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, which are executing routine aerial missions," stressing that its forces "continue to perform their national duty in protecting the skies of the Kingdom and preserving its sovereignty with competence and ability."
The United States and Israel announced earlier today that they had undertaken operations against Iranian targets, with President Donald Trump stating that his country had begun "major combat operations" against Iran.
