Second Postponement of Maduro's Trial in New York Due to "Logistical Obstacles"
SadaNews - The "Univision Noticias" channel reported the postponement of the second session in the case of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in New York from March 17 to March 26 for logistical reasons.
According to Univision Noticias, the session was postponed at the request of Maduro's defense team, as the prosecution cited scheduling and logistical issues. Ultimately, both parties agreed to reschedule the session.
The television channel reported that "the second session will be held on March 26, 2026, in a federal court in New York; after it was previously scheduled for March 17."
In January, it was announced that the next session in the case of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was scheduled for 7:00 PM Moscow time on March 17 (11:00 AM New York time).
On January 3, U.S. forces carried out a surprise military operation in Venezuela, resulting in the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, and their being taken to New York to face charges related to "drug-related terrorism," according to U.S. allegations.
