Occupation Army: We killed 4 gunmen who emerged from a tunnel east of Rafah and fired at us

SadaNews: The Israeli occupation army announced today, Monday, that its forces killed 4 Palestinian gunmen, whom it claimed emerged from a tunnel east of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip, while its forces continued to violate the ceasefire by shelling various areas of the Strip.

The spokesperson for the Israeli army explained that "the gunmen fired at the forces of the 7th Brigade, considering this a "clear violation of the ceasefire agreement", stating that his forces in the southern command are "deployed in the area according to the agreement and will continue to work to eliminate any threat", according to his claims.

This comes as medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital today reported the martyrdom of a Palestinian by the gunfire of the occupation forces outside their deployment areas in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood north of Gaza City, amidst heavy artillery shelling targeting the area.

The Israeli artillery also targeted vast areas in the west of Beit Lahiya in the northern part of the Strip, while naval boats fired in the waters off Khan Younis to the south.

Rafah has witnessed airstrikes, while helicopters and fires from Israeli military vehicles targeted areas east of Khan Younis, hitting a water tank, which further exacerbates the water crisis in the Strip.

The occupation army had launched a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling at dawn yesterday, Sunday, on various areas of the Strip, especially where it is deployed, resulting in the martyrdom of two individuals and escalating the humanitarian crisis. Medical sources in Gaza also reported the martyrdom of two additional Palestinians due to the occupation's gunfire outside its deployment areas in Beit Lahiya and Deir al-Balah since the morning hours.

The occupation forces continue their military operations throughout Gaza despite the announced agreements, amid warnings of further deterioration in living conditions and infrastructure, especially with the targeting of vital facilities like water tanks.

The occupation has launched a war of extermination against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has lasted for two years, resulting in tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, most of whom are women and children.

After the war of extermination, a ceasefire agreement was signed, which came into effect on October 10, 2025, however, since the implementation of the agreement, the occupation army has committed hundreds of violations, resulting in the martyrdom of about 580 Palestinians and injuring nearly 1550 others.
