Police in Ramallah Arrest Suspect for Committing 50 Thefts
SadaNews - The Public Prosecution of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Police managed to arrest a suspect believed to have committed around fifty thefts in various areas of the governorate, following intensive monitoring and field efforts.
The police spokesman, Major Luay Erziqat, stated that the Public Prosecution received fifty complaints regarding the theft of contents from vehicles, where the suspect would break their windows and glass, steal what was inside, and then flee and hide in different locations.
Erziqat added that as a result, a search and investigation team was formed, which conducted surveillance and follow-up operations for several weeks, leading to the identification of the suspect in the northeast area of Ramallah. Consequently, a tight ambush was set up, resulting in his arrest while he was driving a stolen vehicle, accompanied by another individual.
He clarified that the police detained both individuals and confiscated the seized vehicle pending the completion of the necessary legal procedures, in preparation for referring them to the Public Prosecution for appropriate legal action against them.
