Slovakia Rejects Joining the Global Peace Council
SadaNews - The Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the government has decided to reject joining the Global Peace Council.
In previous statements, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that Slovakia should reject U.S. President Donald Trump's invitation to join the Peace Council.
Fico stated that Slovakia should not support the creation of parallel entities to the United Nations.
He said at a press conference, "I believe Slovakia should refuse this invitation... and not go any further with it."
Trump urged world leaders to join the proposed Peace Council initiative aimed at resolving conflicts globally, but many Western heads of government have shown reluctance to participate.
