Sources for SadaNews: Arrangements for a visit by a technocrat committee delegation to Gaza to assume governmental duties

Exclusive to SadaNews - Informed Palestinian sources revealed to "SadaNews" that there are communications aimed at arranging a visit for some members of the technocrat committee to the Gaza Strip in preparation for their assumption of governmental duties from the "Hamas" government.

According to the sources, the communications are taking place on one side between the United States and intermediaries, with Israel, to allow committee members to enter the sector, and on the other side between intermediaries and "Hamas" in preparation for those members to assume specific governmental responsibilities.

The sources indicated that the initial focus will be on the health and education sectors to allow those responsible to assess the various material damages and identify the required resources for compensation, with the aim of reporting to the Executive Council for Peace through the technocrat committee in preparation for the rehabilitation of the infrastructure of the two sectors, irrespective of the issue of disarming "Hamas" and linking Israel's reconstruction efforts to it.

It was also noted that there are other efforts related to the possibility of supplying fuel for the Gaza power plant to operate partially in central areas of the Gaza Strip, especially Deir al-Balah, as it is one of the areas that has not been subjected to any aggression.

According to the sources, communications have not ceased between the technocrat committee and officials from intermediary countries, the United States, and the Executive Council for Peace, in order to find urgent solutions to these urgent issues related to the realities of education and health and what can serve the infrastructure in general.

Israel is placing many obstacles on the committee's work, which is seeking to assume its responsibilities.

On its part, "Hamas" is preparing for such an operation and has already started holding internal governmental meetings. It has begun to inventory its properties that were not destroyed in the war with the aim of handing them over to the committee.

"Hamas" has circulated clear instructions to its governmental employees for a smooth and rapid transfer of governmental ministries' duties to the committee.

The security file is considered one of the most complicated files that the technocrat committee will face, as it is managed by retired Major General Sami Nisman from the Palestinian intelligence service, against whom "Hamas" issued a default judgment after years of its control over the sector, on the grounds of his responsibility for what it described as "sabotage activities" at that time.

It is unclear how "Hamas" will deal with this file, alongside the file of its employees in light of the unclear vision of whether they will be fully or partially absorbed.
