General strike in Palestinian towns in the 48 territories against crime
SadaNews - A general strike took place in Palestinian towns in the 1948 territories on Thursday, in protest against crime and violence in the Arab community.
The strike encompasses all aspects of life, including the education system, except for the special education system for individuals with disabilities.
Numerous Arab towns announced their participation in the general strike, indicating in separate statements that their stance is an integral part of what the Arab community is facing, in addition to noting that they are responding to the call from the city of Sakhnin, where the first strikes originated.
Protests were organized on Wednesday evening in Umm al-Fahm, Shfar'am, Tamra, Majd al-Krum, and Kafr Manda, while a national demonstration is set to take place in the city of Sakhnin, and in Rahat today Thursday, and in Nazareth and Kafr Kanna on Friday.
The Follow-up Committee reported that the escalation of crime in the Arab community is a systematic plan by the authorities, with its manifestations being represented by criminal gangs that find no deterrent. Therefore, every drop of blood shed, and every victim killed holds the Israeli government and its agencies responsible.
