More than 900 settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque so far

SadaNews - The Jerusalem governorate reported that more than 900 settlers have stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque as of this news report, coinciding with the commemoration of what is referred to as "the anniversary of the destruction of the Temple."

The governorate added in a statement issued today, Thursday, that the occupation police have allowed an increase in the number of individuals in each group during the incursions to reach about 150 settlers.

The governorate also stated that the occupation forces continue to impose strict measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and in the vicinity of the Old City, and are heavily deployed in various courtyards of Al-Aqsa, preventing worshippers from entering the mosque, noting that a very limited number of worshippers managed to reach the mosque during the Fajr prayer and perform the prayer before the occupation forces assaulted a number of citizens and worshippers with beatings.

The governorate pointed out that the settlers continue to perform Talmudic rituals during their incursions, which included wearing "tefillin" and performing what is called "the epic prostration" in the eastern area of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to chanting hymns loudly, at a time when extremist "Temple" groups are continuing to rally their supporters with the aim of reaching a record of 5,000 settlers during today's incursions.
