Police Foils the Smuggling of a Large Quantity of Hashish North of Jerusalem
SadaNews: In a precise and specialized operation, the General Investigations Department of the Jerusalem Suburbs Police and the Drug Control Branch managed to dismantle one of the drug smuggling dens and thwart a smuggling operation involving large quantities of substances suspected to be narcotic hashish, totaling (108) slabs, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The police spokesperson, Major Louay Erzeqat, stated that the General Investigations and Drug Control branches received accurate intelligence about an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into the homeland's governorates.
In light of this information, necessary measures were taken, including monitoring, following up, and conducting intensive field investigations, leading to the discovery of a den used as a storage and launch point for the narcotic substances.
Major Erzeqat added that during the raid on the den late at night, (108) slabs suspected to be narcotic hashish were seized, and they were retained in accordance with the law. He emphasized that work is still ongoing to pursue the individuals involved in this crime and to bring them to justice.
